Land of  historical  events

  In todays world , the tourist industry  is one of the  important   human   activities  which , depending  on the location  and its  nature, can bring  about  deep  changes  in life  space  and geographical  landscapes . During  the past  few  decades ,  tourism  has  achieved a  substantial  place  in economic  and social  interchanges  of the world  and today  has  turned  into  one of  the greatest  catalyst  for social  change  in human  history  . At this time Iran,  with its rich  cultural  heritage  and  valuable  and countless  geographical  and  natural  gifts, can  turn into  one of  the important  global  tourists  destinations.

   With  an area  of  187, 502 sq.km  the  province named  Sistan  Va Baluchestan  is made up  of 2 regions . These are namely  Sistan covering  some  15,717 sq.km. and  the far  larger , Baluchestan  with  171, 785 sq.km. which province is  located  in the  south  -east  of the country  . This province  borders   Afghanistan  and Pakistan   along a 1,200 km . frontier . Mount Malek  Siah , located  40 km . from  the city  of Zahedan  is the  common  border  point  of Iran , Afghanistan , and Pakistan . South Khorassan  province  is situated  to  the north  of this  province   with Afghanistan  being  northeast , Pakistan due  east ,  the Sea of Oman  to the  south , and Kerman and Hormozgan provinces  on its western border.

  All the  different  peoples  of the province have  their  own  particular  customs  and  rituals  with  which  they live. Viewing  tribal life  with   their mode of  residence  and  special  mores  is one of the   atracxtions  of the province. Some  of the   local  feasts  and occasions  are  celebrated  with   more pomp  than  even  Nowroz  such  as the  Feasts of Sacrifices  or Eid Fitr . They celebrated  with  vigorous  circle  dancing  to  to the  accompaniment  of the sound  of the  kettledrum  and oboe in the  some parts of the   province , harvesting  celebrations take place.

 Menswear include  of  long  shirts  and  spacious  pleated  trousers . Women  wear  long  clothes  decorated  with  needlework  , raw silk work  and  pearl  work   by  artisans, veils  and  ornaments  ,  which  are   collectively  known  as Baluchi clothes  . Most people  are  involved  in farming  and  agricultural  even  while  they   may  hold  other jobs.

   This  province  enjoys  a  varied   but   altogether   temprate  climate  all   year  around. The  climate  can  be divided   into  various  regions. Khash  enjoys  the  best  climate  in the  province   because  ofd its  higher  altitude   than  other  townships  and  is located  next to mount Taftan , the highest peak  in Baluchestan , in the  north.

  In addition  to kish ,  Chabahar  Port has vernal  climate  because  of proximity  to the  Tropic of Cancer. Temperature  changes  in different  seasons  are  minimal with summers and   falls  being  almost  unnoticeable. The  trees are   forever green  during  the entire  year . The luxuriant growth of the trees  led  to likening  the 4 seasons  here  to spring  so  it  was  named  Chahar Bahar  which was  then abbreviated  to Chabahr.

  Khash and Chabahar  have  the  climate  and are  the  most  beautiful  areas  of  the province  . The  Iranshahr , Zabol , and Bahookalat  areas  enjoy  a desert  climate , Zahedan  areas  is semi-desert  , and  the  mountainous  area of Bamposht south  of Saravan , along  with  the  areas  to  year mounts of 

  Due  to  the climate  influence  of  Indian  subcontinents  seasonal  changes  , specially  during October to April , when  many tourists  destinations  are  deserted   because  of cold  weather  , Sistan & Baluchestan  welcomes  and  entertains  tourists  and  people  interested  in nature , with nice weather .

According  to  the  national  census  of 1996  the population   of the province  was 1,722,579 and in 2000 was estimated  at 1,984,191 .

                  Traditional  music

   The folk  music  of Sistan  & Baluchestan  to be an art from because of special  province's  circumstances  which , more   than  other  provinces,  have  celebrated  the happy  times  of this   land   over a long period  of time. There are many  local  tools   such as the  Gheychak, Viol, Bonjo, Lute, Oboe , and  Doholack as well as percussion  tools   like Tube , & Jug and kettledrum.

  The  different  kinds   of folk music  of the province  can be  classed  as  epical , chamber , mystical , and  party each  of which  denotes  the  variouse  states  of sadness , gladness , epics and devoted  moral , virtue , compact  of loyalty , patriotism and  hospitality   ofd the area's people.
